Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 II DG HSM




One SLD and four FLD glass elements compensate for color aberration and provide high image quality.Three glass mold elements and one hybrid aspherical lens give advanced performance and compact and lightweight construction. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. This lens has superior peripheral brightness and provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum apertures. Incorporation of HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed auto focus, while allowing full-time manual focus override. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 28cm (11.0″) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.4. In addition, this lens features splash proof design for use in harsh conditions.


Sigma MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM




This large aperture medium telephoto macro lens offers advanced performance of close-up photography. Sigma’s own proprietary OS (Optical Stabilizer) system enables handheld close-up photography.A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) lens and one high refractive index SLD lens provide excellent correction for all types of aberration and distortion.A floating focusing system moves two different lens groups in the optical path to different positions. This system compensates for astigmatic aberration and spherical aberration and provides extremely high optical performance from infinity to 1:1 Macro.The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, providing high contrast images. It is also possible to use this lens with Sigma’s APO TELE CONVERTERS. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed autofocus as well as full-time manual focus capability. This lens features a splash proof design for use in harsh conditions and a rounded 9 blade diaphragm creating an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image.



Sigma APO 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM




The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new Sigma APO 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM, designed especially for APS-C size image sensors.

Sigma’s proprietary OS (Optical Stabilizer) system offers the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible, enabling hand held tele-photography. Six SLD glass elements compensate for chromatic aberrations and provide high image quality throughout the zoom range. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and ensures sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum apertures. The lens design adopts an inner focusing and inner zooming system to provide convenient handling and the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed autofocus while allowing full-time manual focus override. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 80cm (31.5”) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.3. The rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image. The addition of Sigma’s TELE CONVERTER 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO produces a 70-210 F4 AF telephoto zoom lens or 100-300 F5.6 AF telephoto zoom respectively.

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new Sigma APO 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM.
This new lens incorporates Sigma’s proprietary Optical Stabilizer system, and offers high image quality. In addition, this lens features splash proof design for use in harsh conditions. One SLD and two FLD glass elements are used for maximum correction of chromatic aberrations. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, and the lens design incorporates an inner focusing and inner zooming system to ensure sharp images throughout the entire zoom range. Improved optical performance provides excellent correction of sagittal coma flare, and ensures ultra-high resolution, comparable to a fixed focal length lens. The OS (Optical Stabilizer) system offers the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. This system enables hand held tele-photography. Incorporation of HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed autofocus, while allowing full-time manual focus override.The rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image.The addition of Sigma’s APO TELE CONVERTER produces an ultra telephoto zoom lens with AF.



Sigma DP2x




The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new Sigma DP2x compact digital camera featuring a 14 megapixel FOVEON X3® direct image sensor (2,652× 1,768× 3 layers). The new Sigma DP2x is the latest DP2 series model and incorporates AFE (Analog Front End) and high speed auto focus.

AFE is also used in the DP1x compact digital camera and SD15 digital SLR and converts full color data, which the FOVEON X3® capture system records, into a digital signal. This enables the camera to reproduce high definition and richly colored images. In addition, the new AF algorithm provides high speed auto focus, ensuring convenient shooting.

APO MACRO 150mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM is a large aperture medium telephoto macro lens. As the successor to the APO MACRO 150mm F2.8 EX DG HSM, which was first introduced in October 2004, the new version now includes the OS technology and a weather-resistant design that is for convenient outdoor use. A floating focusing system in the 150mm moves two different lens groups in the optical path to different positions. This system compensates for astigmatic aberration and spherical aberration, and provides extremely high optical performance from infinity to 1:1 Macro. The lens also contains three SLD glass elements for correction of all aberrations, Super Multi-Layer Coating, and HSM. It will become available at the end of March.
